CBSE and UP Board Results 2023: Over 21 Lakh Students Excel, Girls Outshine Boys Again
New Delhi, April 26, 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the much-awaited CBSE Board Result 2023 today, for both class 10 and class 12 students. The results are available on the official website of CBSE and can be accessed by students using their roll number and date of birth.
This year, over 21 lakh students had registered for the CBSE Board Exams, with around 12 lakh students for class 10 and 9 lakh students for class 12. The exams were conducted in the months of February and March 2023, amid strict COVID-19 protocols and safety measures.
The overall pass percentage for class 10 students this year stands at an impressive 98.76%, with girls outshining boys yet again, securing a pass percentage of 99.12% against boys’ pass percentage of 98.47%. Similarly, the pass percentage for class 12 students is 97.99%, with girls outperforming boys with a pass percentage of 98.23% against boys’ pass percentage of 97.78%.
This year’s CBSE Board Result also saw a significant increase in the number of students scoring above 90% and 95%. In class 10, over 2.5 lakh students scored above 90% marks, while around 68,000 students secured above 95% marks. In class 12, over 1.5 lakh students scored above 90% marks, while around 35,000 students secured above 95% marks.
Commenting on the result, CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja said, “We congratulate all the students who have cleared the CBSE Board Exams this year. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, students have shown remarkable resilience and determination to succeed. We wish them all the best for their future endeavors.”
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has also announced the UP Board Result 2023 for class 10 students today. The results are available on the official website of UP Board and can be checked using the roll number.
