चूंकि, वित्त व्यवसाय का जीवन रक्त है, इसलिए व्यवसाय के अंदर और बाहर धन का प्रवाह जारी रहना चाहिए। पैसा व्यवसाय के पहियों को सुचारू रूप से चलाता है अगर इसे कुशलता से प्रबंधित किया जाए। व्यावसायिक उद्यम को निम्नलिखित उद्देश्य के लिए पूंजी की आवश्यकता होती है:-
1. भूमि और भवन संयंत्र और मशीनरी, फर्नीचर, आदि की खरीद (जैसे) निश्चित पूंजी आवश्यकताओं का वित्तपोषण
