The Moskvich automobile plant presented the design of a new model – the seven-seat crossover Moskvich 8. The start of production and sales of the new product will take place at the end of this year, the press service of the enterprise reports. The seven-seater Moskvich 8 crossover has the following dimensions: 4,824 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width and 1,756 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,830 mm. The appearance of the car is distinguished by a massive radiator grille integrated with LED optics, as well as a characteristic rear line of LED optics along the entire trunk. The interior is equipped with ergonomic seats, a digital instrument panel with a 12.3” display, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera system, and the ability to connect to smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols.
Under the hood of the Moskvich 8, a 174 hp GDI gasoline engine will be installed, which works in combination with a 7-speed robotic transmission. Let us recall that in November 2022, the Moskvich automobile plant launched serial production of the Moskvich 3 crossover, and in December its electric version, called Moskvich 3e, appeared on the enterprise’s assembly line. In September 2023, the Moskvich plant began mass production of the Moskvich 6 liftback.
the Moskvich plant sold almost 3 thousand cars in March, including more than 120 Moskvich 6 liftbacks and about 90 Moskvich 3e electric vehicles, according to the automaker. As noted, this result was the best since the official start of sales. In total, over 4.7 thousand Moskvich vehicles were sold in Russia in the first quarter of 2024, including almost 300 Moskvich 6 liftbacks and about 110 Moskvich 3e electric vehicles. Photo: Moskvich
